GENERAL SANTOS CITY — Police operatives arrested a suspected drug peddler during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Mabuhay on Thursday, September 11, 2025, as part of the intensified campaign of Police Regional Office 12 (PRO 12) against illegal drugs.
Authorities identified the suspect as alias “Eman,” 48, married, self-employed, and a resident of Purok 19, Promise Land 2, Barangay Mabuhay. He was apprehended by personnel of Police Station 9 in Purok 6, Malayang Nayon of the same barangay.
Confiscated from the suspect were six sachets of suspected shabu weighing 8.34 grams with an estimated street value of ₱56,712, a marked ₱1,000 bill used in the transaction, a brown sling bag, and several identification cards.
The suspect and the seized items are now under the custody of Police Station 9 for documentation and proper disposition.
PBGEN Arnold P. Ardiente, regional director of PRO 12, lauded the operating team for their swift and effective action.
“This successful operation proves that our anti-drug campaign remains strong and unyielding. We will continue to work with our communities to eliminate the threat of illegal drugs that destroy lives and families,” Ardiente said.
