Iligan City, Philippines — A 42-year-old man from Sitio Caluda, Barangay Digkilaan, Iligan City, was declared dead after reportedly taking his own life on the afternoon of September 21, 2025.

According to police reports from Iligan City Police Station 6, the victim, who had been battling severe depression, was found lifeless inside his home at around 3:00 p.m. Family members immediately rushed him to the Gregorio T. Lluch Memorial Hospital (GTLMH), but doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.

Authorities revealed that the man had left behind a note dated September 20, addressing his children and expressing emotional distress. Investigators believe he used a broken mirror to inflict fatal wounds.

Relatives confirmed that the victim had been suffering from deep depression and ruled out foul play in his death. His remains have been brought to Capin Funeral Homes for his final resting place.
