ILIGAN CITY — A man was found dead after reportedly hanging himself inside an abandoned house in Barangay Mainit, Iligan City, authorities confirmed on Sunday.

According to initial reports, family members were actively searching for the victim after he went missing. Residents later discovered his lifeless body inside the deserted structure, where he was found hanging using a piece of cloth.

Police immediately responded to the scene and are now conducting an in-depth investigation, including interviews with the victim’s relatives, to determine the possible circumstances and factors that led to the incident.

Authorities have not yet released the identity of the victim pending notification of his immediate family.
