September 15, 2025 – El Salvador City, Misamis Oriental — The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported that a Low Pressure Area (LPA) spotted west of San Jose, Occidental Mindoro is expected to influence weather conditions across parts of Mindanao today.

As of 3:00 a.m., the LPA was estimated at 235 kilometers west of San Jose (12.7°N, 118.9°E). While it remains outside Mindanao, its presence, combined with localized thunderstorms, will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms throughout the region.

PAGASA warned that flash floods or landslides are possible in areas experiencing severe thunderstorms. Winds across Mindanao will range from light to moderate, blowing from southwest to southeast, with coastal waters expected to be slight to moderate at 0.6 to 1.2 meters.
