GINGOOG CITY, Misamis Oriental — Authorities confiscated a .45 caliber pistol, ammunition, and a grenade during a law enforcement operation in Barangay Pangasihan, Gingoog City, on the morning of September 10, 2025.
The search, conducted at around 8:25 a.m. under Search Warrant No. SW-37-2025, was spearheaded by the Misamis Oriental Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU) in coordination with personnel from the 1st MOR Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC), Gingoog City Police Station, Regional Special Operations Unit 10 (RSOU 10), Initao Municipal Police Station, and MOCPPO PIU.
The operation led to the arrest of a suspect and the seizure of several contraband items. Among the recovered evidence were one .45 caliber pistol, 14 live rounds of the same caliber, a magazine loaded with seven bullets, one grenade, a tactical sling bag, a box used as a grenade container, a black jacket, and a pair of Sandugo slippers.
The suspect, along with the confiscated items, is now under the custody of the Gingoog City Police Station for proper disposition and filing of charges.
Authorities reiterated their commitment to intensifying anti-criminality and counterterrorism operations in Misamis Oriental to maintain peace and security in the province.
