Mati City, Davao Oriental — The City of Mati has officially unveiled its vibrant new tourism branding, “#FeelMati! More Adventures, Truly Incredible,” during a festive launch held on August 2, 2025, at the MFGR Park & Baywalk.

The celebration burst with color and energy, featuring captivating cultural performances and a stunning showcase of locally crafted outfits by homegrown artists. Residents and guests alike warmly embraced the city’s new tourism identity, which aims to highlight not just scenic destinations but also the warmth of the people and the richness of its culture.
Mayor Mayo Z. Almario emphasized that authentic tourism is built on six essentials: accessibility, arrival or transportation, attractions, accommodations, activities, and attitude. “Through these, we can truly give visitors the complete Mati experience,” he said.
Davao Oriental Governor Nelson L. Dayanghirang, represented by Provincial Tourism and Information Officer Atty. Lovella Fe Madelo-Tacder, reaffirmed the provincial government’s strong support in developing Mati and the entire province into a premier tourism hub in the Philippines.
City Councilor Xenna All shared her optimism about the campaign’s potential to boost both local tourism and the economy. “Through our culture and community, we can elevate Mati’s pride. Let’s continue working together to promote our city,” she said.
The event was made possible through the efforts of the City Tourism Office, City Events, and the City Information Office, with the leadership of Mayor Almario and the support of local leaders, artists, and businesses.
With “Feel Mati,” the city invites visitors to immerse themselves in its breathtaking landscapes, vibrant culture, and the genuine hospitality of its people — promising adventures that are, indeed, truly incredible.
