General Santos City – A 23-year-old laborer was arrested following a successful anti-drug operation conducted on May 29, 2025, in Barangay San Jose, General Santos City.

Joint forces from Police Station 7, SWAT/CMFC, the City Intelligence Unit of the General Santos City Police Office, and the 1201st Maneuver Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 12 implemented a court-issued search warrant that led to the arrest of the suspect, identified only by his alias “Chad.”

Authorities seized 11.3 grams of suspected shabu, 4.3 grams of suspected dried marijuana leaves, and various drug paraphernalia. The confiscated substances are estimated to have a street value of ₱77,356.

The suspect is now facing charges under Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and is currently detained at Police Station 7 pending further legal procedures. The recovered evidence has been turned over to the Regional Forensic Unit 12 for laboratory examination.

Police Brigadier General Arnold P. Ardiente, Regional Director of PRO 12, lauded the coordinated efforts of the operatives. “This successful operation reflects our relentless commitment to rid our communities of illegal drugs. We commend the operating teams for their swift and coordinated action in enforcing the law,” he said.
