PRESIDENT QUIRINO, Sultan Kudarat — A coordinated anti-illegal drug operation led to the arrest of two alleged drug pushers and the seizure of suspected shabu worth over ₱360,000 in a pre-dawn buy-bust operation on June 20, 2025.

The successful operation was carried out around 4:58 a.m. in Barangay Poblacion by combined forces of the President Quirino Municipal Police Station, Provincial Intelligence Unit, Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company of the Sultan Kudarat Police Provincial Office, and the 1202nd Maneuver Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 12.

The suspects, identified only by their aliases “Amir,” 34, and “Den,” 43—both farmers and residents of Barangay Dapyawan, Datu Saudi Ampatuan in Maguindanao del Norte—were caught selling illegal drugs during the buy-bust.

Confiscated from their possession were nine heat-sealed sachets of suspected shabu weighing approximately 53 grams, with a standard drug price value of around ₱360,000. Authorities also recovered the ₱1,000 marked buy-bust money, a Nokia keypad-type cellphone, and a sling bag allegedly used in their illegal activities.

The suspects and the seized evidence were brought to the President Quirino Municipal Police Station for documentation and further investigation.

Police Regional Office 12 Regional Director PBGen Arnold Ardiente lauded the swift action and cooperation among the operating units.

“We commend the seamless coordination between our operating units which led to this successful arrest. We will continue to strike hard against those who peddle poison in our streets as we strive to build safer, drug-free communities in line with our campaign: ‘Sa Bagong Pilipinas, ang Gusto ng Pulis, Ligtas Ka!’” he said.

Authorities emphasized that intensified anti-drug efforts remain a priority to rid communities of illegal drug activities across the region.
