Parang, Maguindanao del Norte – June 7, 2025 — Authorities confiscated more than ₱1.8 million worth of suspected shabu and arrested two alleged drug personalities during a buy-bust operation conducted Friday evening in Barangay Making, Parang, Maguindanao del Norte.
The joint operation, which took place around 6:31 PM, led to the arrest of a 31-year-old farmer and a 38-year-old driver, both married and residents of Matanog, Maguindanao del Norte.
The anti-drug sting was carried out by operatives of the Parang Municipal Police Station, in collaboration with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Maguindanao del Norte, Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (RDEU) PRO BAR, 1401st RMFC – RMFB 14-A, 1st PMFC MDN, RIU15-PIT MDN, RIAT MDN, and PIU/PDEU MDN. The buy-bust was launched under Pre-Ops No. 30005-062025-0045.
Seized from the suspects were three transparent plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance believed to be methamphetamine hydrochloride, or “shabu.” The illegal drugs weighed approximately 268 grams and had an estimated street value of ₱1,822,400.00, based on the valuation of the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB).
Also recovered from the scene was a marked ₱1,000 bill used in the buy-bust, bearing serial number BE266752.
Initial investigation identified the arrested men as newly monitored drug personalities operating in Barangay Making and its neighboring areas.
Authorities brought the suspects and seized items to the Parang Municipal Police Station for proper documentation and disposition as they prepare to file charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
