PARANG, Maguindanao del Norte – Two men who are brothers-in-law were arrested in a successful drug buy-bust operation that led to the confiscation of ₱6.8 million worth of suspected shabu in Purok Nursery, Barangay Making, on Monday, August 11, 2025.

Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency–Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PDEA-BARMM) Director Gil Cesario Castro identified the suspects as Kintang Badal, 27, a farmer from Talayan, Maguindanao del Sur, and Alinor Inidal, 26, a resident of Matalam, North Cotabato.

Authorities said the operation, conducted in coordination with the Parang Municipal Police Station and the Philippine Marines, resulted in the seizure of 20 jumbo sachets of suspected shabu, which were the subject of the transaction during the sting operation.

After the inventory, which was witnessed by representatives from the local government and the media outlet Brigada, the suspects were brought to the appropriate detention facility for disposition.

Both Badal and Inidal face charges for selling illegal drugs in violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

PDEA-BARMM lauded the coordination among law enforcement agencies, citing it as a key factor in the successful operation aimed at curbing the spread of illegal drugs in the region.
