The smooth transition of leadership in the province took a significant step forward as Governor Niño Uy issued Executive Order No. 19, series of 2025, mandating the orderly turnover of all digital assets of the Provincial Government—including its official Facebook page and website—to the incoming administration.

Beyond the physical transfer of properties, Governor Uy emphasized the vital role of digital platforms in governance, information dissemination, and public engagement. He highlighted that in an era where digital presence shapes public perception and access to services, these assets are crucial components of transparent and responsive governance.

In some areas across the country, digital asset turnover has been mired in controversy. But Governor Uy underscored the importance of a fair, peaceful, and principled handover, regardless of whether the incoming administration chooses to utilize these platforms or not.

“For nearly 14 years, since 2011, the official Facebook page of the province has faithfully served the people—sharing timely updates, promoting the activities of the provincial government, issuing public warnings during emergencies, and combating misinformation and fake news,” said the Provincial Information Office.

The page has stood as a reliable voice for truth and a consistent channel for public service. Likewise, the official website has functioned as an archive and repository of vital provincial data, events, and accomplishments—ensuring transparency and access to information for the people.

The Provincial Information Office also expressed gratitude to the public for its trust over the years and recognized the efforts of the current digital asset administrators.

“This turnover is not just a formality,” said Governor Uy. “It is a commitment to continuity and preparedness, ensuring that government services remain uninterrupted even as leadership changes. The welfare of the people must remain the central focus of governance.”

As the province prepares for a new chapter, the seamless digital transition stands as a model of responsible leadership, reaffirming that good governance does not end with a term—it continues with every action taken to serve the public better.
