Monkayo, Davao de Oro – June 11, 2025 — In a strong show of commitment to the ongoing anti-drug campaign, the Davao de Oro Police Provincial Office carried out two separate successful operations, resulting in the arrest of two individuals involved in illegal drug activities.

In the early morning of June 11, personnel from the Monkayo Municipal Police Station arrested a male suspect known by the alias “Boy” during a buy-bust operation in Monkayo. The operation led to the confiscation of heat-sealed sachets containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, along with marked money used in the transaction. The suspect is currently under police custody and will be facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

On the same day, a joint manhunt operation led by the Maco Municipal Police Station culminated in the arrest of a female individual at the Tagum Public Market in Tagum City, Davao del Norte. The arrest was made by virtue of an alias warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 3 in Nabunturan, Davao de Oro, also for violation of Republic Act 9165. No bail was recommended in the warrant, and the suspect is now under the custody of the Maco MPS for proper disposition.

These consecutive arrests underscore the Davao de Oro police force’s unwavering commitment to eradicating illegal drugs and ensuring the safety and security of the communities they serve. Both Monkayo and Maco police stations reaffirm their support for the Philippine National Police’s campaign for a drug-free and safer Davao de Oro.
