General Santos City – June 12, 2025 — A joint law enforcement operation led by the Police Regional Office 12 (PRO-12) resulted in the seizure of suspected illegal drugs worth over ₱61,000 in a morning raid in General Santos City.
At around 7:49 AM, combined elements of Police Station 7, the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT)/City Mobile Force Company (CMFC) of the General Santos City Police Office, the Maritime Police Station 12, and the 1201st Maneuver Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 12 implemented a search warrant in a residence in the city.
The search warrant was issued on June 4, 2025, by Hon. Judge Dennis A. Velasco, Executive Judge of the Regional Trial Court Branch 23, in connection with a violation of Section 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. The target of the operation, known by the alias “Jun-Jun,” was not present during the search.
Despite the absence of the suspect, authorities recovered two heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu. The recovered drugs had an estimated total weight of 9.1 grams and a Standard Drug Price of ₱61,880.
The confiscated items were turned over to Police Station 7 for proper documentation and further investigation.
PBGen Arnold P. Ardiente, Regional Director of PRO-12, commended the operating units for their successful and coordinated effort. “This successful operation is a result of our intensified and intelligence-driven anti-drug campaign. The absence of the target will not hinder us from pursuing justice. We are closely working with partner units to ensure the suspect is located and held accountable,” he said.
Police continue to track down the whereabouts of alias “Jun-Jun” as part of their ongoing anti-illegal drug operations in the region.
