Koronadal City, South Cotabato — A former public school teacher and his female accomplice were arrested in an entrapment operation conducted by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 12 in Barangay Concepcion on Wednesday, June 25, 2026.

According to PDEA-12’s report released Friday, June 27, the two suspects did not resist arrest after selling suspected shabu worth ₱374,000 to an undercover agent during the sting operation held at Purok Bonifacio in the same barangay.

The male suspect, a former Department of Education teacher, had reportedly been imprisoned three times in the past for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. His repeated drug-related offenses led to his eventual dismissal from service.

PDEA-12 confirmed that the operation was carried out with the support of the Koronadal City Police Office and the South Cotabato Provincial Police Office.

Both suspects are now in detention and have been formally charged. The confiscated illegal drugs amounting to ₱374,000 have been submitted as evidence in the case.
