Mindanao, Philippines – The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has issued a regional weather forecast for Mindanao, warning of cloudy skies, scattered rains, and thunderstorms due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ). The advisory, valid from 5:00 AM today until 5:00 AM tomorrow, highlights potential flash floods and landslides in areas experiencing moderate to heavy rains.
Weather Conditions Across Mindanao
Zamboanga Peninsula
- Zamboanga City: Cloudy skies with rainshowers and thunderstorms. Temperatures will range from 25-33°C during the day and 26-32°C at night.
- Zamboanga del Norte: Similar conditions with temperatures of 25-31°C (day) and 26-30°C (night).
- Zamboanga del Sur: Cloudy with rainshowers, 23-33°C (day) and 24-32°C (night).
- Zamboanga Sibugay: Cloudy skies, 23-30°C (day) and 24-29°C (night).

Advisory for Residents
PAGASA advises residents in affected areas to stay alert for possible flash floods or landslides, especially in low-lying and mountainous regions. Light to moderate winds from the east to southeast will prevail, with slight to moderate coastal waters (0.6 to 1.2 meters).
