Mindanao, Philippines – The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has issued a regional weather forecast warning of cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms across Mindanao today, 24 May 2025, due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ). The weather system is expected to bring moderate to at times heavy rains, raising risks of flash floods and landslides in vulnerable areas.

- Affected Areas: Entire Mindanao, including Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Davao Region, SOCCSKSARGEN, Caraga, and BARMM.
- Weather Conditions: Cloudy skies with rainshowers and thunderstorms prevailing throughout the day and night.
- Temperatures: Daytime highs range from 21°C to 33°C, dropping slightly to 22°C–32°C by evening. Coastal areas will experience light to moderate winds (southeast to east) and slight to moderate seas (0.6–1.5 meters).
Notable Regional Forecasts:
- Zamboanga Peninsula: Consistent rainshowers with temperatures at 25–28°C.
- Davao Region: Metro Davao may see highs of 33°C, cooling to 26–32°C by night.
- BARMM (Basilan, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi): Cloudy with thunderstorms; Basilan records the lowest temps at 22–27°C.
