QUEZON CITY – May 21, 2025 — Governor Mamintal “Bombit” Alonto Adiong, Jr. of Lanao del Sur received the prestigious Best E-CLIP Committee Award for the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) in recognition of his exemplary commitment to peacebuilding and reintegration efforts under the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (ECLIP).
The award was conferred by Task Force Balik-Loob during its 7th Founding Anniversary Celebration held today at the Armed Forces of the Philippines Commissioned Officers Country (AFPCOC), Tejeros Hall, Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo in Quezon City.
Joining Governor Adiong at the ceremony were key members of the Lanao del Sur ECLIP Committee: Assistant Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer Dr. Monaima Adiong and Provincial Information Officer Salma Jayne Tamano.
ECLIP is a national government initiative that facilitates the reintegration of former rebels and violent extremists into mainstream society by providing them with psychosocial support, livelihood opportunities, housing assistance, and other necessary services. At the local level, ECLIP Committees are tasked with coordinating and delivering these interventions effectively.
Task Force Balik-Loob, established through Administrative Order No. 10 in April 2018, serves as the central body overseeing the government’s reintegration programs for former members of the CPP-NPA-NDF and their families. It comprises various national agencies, including the Department of National Defense (DND), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity (OPAPRU), and the National Housing Authority (NHA).
This recognition affirms the Provincial Government of Lanao del Sur’s commitment to fostering peace and inclusive development in the region.
