MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur – July 9, 2025 — In a concerted move to ensure lasting peace and inclusive development, the Provincial Government of Lanao del Sur, through its Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) Committee, convened a coordination meeting today to align efforts for the continued reintegration of former violent extremists (FVEs) in the province.

The meeting, held at the Provincial GAD Conference Room in the Capitol Complex, brought together key stakeholders including the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), Provincial Information Office (PIO), Provincial Peace and Development Office (PPDO), Ministry of the Interior and Local Government – Lanao del Sur (MILG-LDS), 103rd Infantry Brigade of the Philippine Army, and the Lanao del Sur Provincial Police Office (LDSPPO).

Leading the discussions, OIC-PSWDO Officer Monaima A. Adiong presented updates on the total number of validated FVEs and their enrollment status in the E-CLIP Information System (ECLIP-IS). She noted significant progress in profiling and ongoing registration efforts, emphasizing the importance of accurate documentation in delivering sustained support.

To further strengthen the reintegration process, the provincial government—through a partnership with the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation, and Unity (OPAPRU)—has rolled out a comprehensive package of support for former extremists. This includes the provision of relief aid, a two-day transformative activity with psychosocial sessions, and financial assistance for qualified beneficiaries.

PSWDO staff Sahaniya B. Minantara detailed the process of filling out the enrollment forms and the necessary steps for registration, while MILG-LDS representative Mustapha M. Said elaborated on the documentation and attachments required to complete enrollment into the ECLIP-IS.

Meanwhile, Ssg Danilo S. Banquiao of the 103rd Infantry Brigade shared updates on the turnover of surrendered firearms to the LDSPPO. He underscored the significance of inventorying firearms, which is a prerequisite for processing financial remuneration to eligible former combatants.

The initiative reflects the unwavering commitment of the Lanao del Sur provincial government and its partners to pursue structured peacebuilding, foster reconciliation, and support the sustainable reintegration of former combatants into civilian life.

Through collaborative and inclusive governance, the province continues to work toward building resilient communities and ensuring a peaceful future for all Maranaos.
