Authorities seized illegal firearms and suspected shabu from a suspect during a search warrant operation conducted on April 17, 2025, at Paradise Subdivision, Barangay Tres de Mayo, Digos City, Davao del Sur.
According to Police Lieutenant Colonel Florante S. Retes, Chief of Police of Digos City Police Station, the suspect was identified as a 46-year-old businessman known by the alias “Marlon.”
Recovered from the suspect’s possession were a caliber .45 pistol with a magazine containing six live rounds, three airsoft M4 replica rifles along with four magazines, a weighing scale, various identification cards, and an estimated Php 21,352 worth of suspected shabu.
The suspect is now facing charges for violating Republic Act 10591, also known as the “Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act,” and Republic Act 9165, or the “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.”
