TAMPARAN, Lanao del Sur — Twelve newly identified drug suspects were arrested in a successful anti-illegal drugs operation conducted by law enforcement authorities on Monday, April 21, 2025, in Barangay Poblacion 4, Tamparan.
The buy-bust operation, which took place around 5:30 p.m., was carried out through the joint efforts of the Tamparan Municipal Police Station (MPS), Provincial Special Operations Group/Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PSOG/PDEU) of the Lanao del Sur Police Provincial Office (LDSPPO), Mulondo MPS, and the 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) of LDSPPO.
Authorities seized a total of 17 heat-sealed sachets of suspected shabu, including two sachets used as buy-bust items, with a combined weight of 3.61 grams and an estimated street value of Php 24,548. Also confiscated during the operation were buy-bust money, including one marked PHP 500 bill, three improvised tooters with shabu residue, two disposable lighters, eight improvised tooters concealed inside a white cigarette pack, one digital weighing scale, and a rolled aluminum foil.
PCOL Robert S. Daculan, Provincial Director of LDSPPO, lauded the operating units for their commitment and prompt action in combating the illegal drug trade in the province.
The 12 suspects, all residents of Tamparan, are currently detained at Tamparan MPS while authorities are preparing appropriate charges against them.
