SURIGAO DEL SUR – To enhance operational readiness and ensure police visibility, the Surigao del Sur Police Provincial Office (SDSPPO) led the distribution of patrol reflectorized vests and solar blinkers to municipal and city police stations in the province.
Police Colonel Harry B. Domingo, Provincial Director, spearheaded the turnover of the equipment to Chiefs of Police (COPs) from various Municipal Police Stations (MPS), City Police Stations (CPS), and Component City Police Stations (CCPS). This initiative is part of the preparations for the 2025 National and Local Elections (NLE), aimed at optimizing police readiness through logistical capacitation.
A total of 44 solar blinkers and 126 reflectorized patrol vests were successfully distributed, bolstering the safety and operational efficiency of police personnel. The issuance of this essential gear underscores the commitment of the SDSPPO leadership to equip officers with the necessary resources to effectively carry out their duties, particularly during nighttime operations and roadside assignments.
Reflectorized vests play a crucial role in ensuring the visibility of police personnel, serving as protective gear that allows them to remain easily identifiable in various operational settings. The addition of solar blinkers further enhances road safety measures, particularly during patrols and checkpoint operations.
The SDSPPO reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening law enforcement efficiency and public service through continuous resource allocation and strategic initiatives. This latest effort highlights the provincial leadership’s dedication to the safety and well-being of its personnel while upholding the Philippine National Police’s (PNP) mission of maintaining peace and order in Surigao del Sur.
