Tangub City, Misamis Occidental – A buy-bust operation conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office X – Misamis Occidental Provincial Office, in collaboration with its Interdiction Unit and the Tangub City Police Station, led to the dismantling of a drug den and the arrest of three individuals on February 27, 2025, in Barangay Mantic, Tangub City.
Authorities seized a total of 8.8 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of Php 59,840 during the operation.
The arrested individuals were identified as:
- Alias Renante – a resident of Barangay Mantic, Tangub City, and the alleged drug den maintainer.
- Alias Rogelio – a resident of Barangay 6, Lower Polao, Tangub City, who was caught visiting the drug den.
- Alias James – a resident of Barangay 1, Tangub City, also apprehended as a visitor of the drug den.
The suspects are set to face charges for violating Article II of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. Law enforcement authorities continue to intensify their operations against illegal drugs to curb substance abuse and dismantle drug-related activities in the region.
The PDEA and local authorities have reiterated their commitment to eradicating illegal drugs and urged the public to report any suspicious activities in their communities.
