Tangub City, Misamis Occidental — A target-listed drug personality was apprehended during a buy-bust operation jointly conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) X Misamis Occidental Provincial Office and the Tangub City Police Station on August 3, 2025, in Purok 10, Barangay Pangabuan.
The suspect, identified only by the alias “Anero,” 44 years old, was arrested after selling suspected shabu to an undercover agent. Authorities seized a total of 3 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated standard value of PHP 20,400.
Seized during the operation were:
- One sachet of suspected shabu (buy-bust item)
- Fourteen assorted sachets of suspected shabu (found in possession)
- A plastic medicine box believed to be used as a drug container
- A Realme Android phone
- PHP 500 marked money used in the operation
The suspect is currently facing charges for violation of Sections 5 (sale of illegal drugs) and 11 (possession of illegal drugs), Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
According to authorities, the operation was carried out smoothly, with all personnel safe and accounted for. Law enforcement vowed to sustain the government’s anti-drug campaign to protect communities and ensure peace and order in the region.
