Caraga, Davao Oriental – A sense of great joy and celebration filled the air as 110 beneficiaries of the Oplan Luwas Dakop Program received their free driver’s licenses on March 11. This initiative has opened doors for motorists to legally drive without fear of penalties or apprehensions, ensuring a safer and more secure journey on the road.
Governor Niño Uy personally led the distribution of the plastic ID licenses, demonstrating his full support for the program’s beneficiaries. He emphasized the importance of this milestone, particularly for low-income individuals who have struggled with the process of obtaining a driver’s license.
Oplan Luwas Dakop is one of the flagship programs of Governor Uy’s administration, providing free driver’s licenses, including all necessary requirements such as the Theoretical Driving Course, Practical Driving Course, Medical Certificate, Written Exam, Student Permit, and final plastic ID issuance.
Governor Uy reaffirmed his commitment to bringing genuine public service to every resident of Davao Oriental.
“We will never tire of finding ways to deliver true service to the people. This is our unwavering promise to every Oriental Dabawenyo!” he stated.
With the continuous efforts of the Provincial Government, more beneficial programs will be implemented to support and uplift the lives of the people. Oplan Luwas Dakop is just one of the many initiatives aimed at improving the well-being of Davao Oriental residents.
