Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines – Major General Ramon P. Zagala, Commander of the Reserve Command, Philippine Army, visited the Headquarters of the 4th Infantry (Diamond) Division (4ID) on March 14, 2025, as part of the military’s continuing efforts to enhance the readiness of the Reserve Force.
MGen Zagala was welcomed with traditional military arrival honors hosted by Colonel Cesar J. Conte Jr., 4ID Chief of Staff, along with senior officers and military personnel at the 4ID Administrative Building inside Camp Evangelista, Patag, Cagayan de Oro City.
During his visit, MGen Zagala paid a courtesy call to 4ID Commander Major General Michele B. Anayron Jr. and engaged in an executive session with key 4ID officers. The discussions focused on the Division’s operational status, training programs, and ongoing initiatives aimed at strengthening the Reserve Force across 4ID’s area of responsibility.
MGen Anayron emphasized the significance of the visit, stating that it reinforces the Philippine Army’s commitment to building a strong and capable Reserve Force. He underscored that developing the Reserve Force is essential in maintaining operational excellence, ensuring strategic readiness, and preparing for future challenges.
MGen Zagala’s visit highlighted the Reserve Force’s vital role in national defense, rapid response capabilities, and disaster preparedness. He reaffirmed the military’s dedication to ensuring that reservists are adequately trained and equipped to support regular forces in times of crisis, calamities, and war.
