Cotabato City is taking a step toward advanced security and monitoring as Mayor Para sa Lahat Mohammad Ali “Bruce” Matabalao engaged in a thorough discussion with Project Moonshot Inc., led by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ronald Miñoza. The meeting focused on the company’s proposal to integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) into the operations of the city’s Command Center.

The proposed AI-powered system features facial recognition technology to enhance security and citywide monitoring. This capability aims to streamline law enforcement efforts by swiftly identifying individuals of interest and ensuring a safer environment for the public. In addition to facial recognition, Project Moonshot Inc. offers a comprehensive Data Bank capable of storing vast amounts of footage and other critical information to aid in incident documentation and analysis.

A key component of the proposed system is the deployment of 360-degree cameras at major intersections throughout Cotabato City. These cameras will provide real-time surveillance, allowing authorities to monitor activity across the city efficiently. This advanced setup is expected to improve response times to emergencies and enhance overall urban safety.

Project Moonshot Inc. is among several technology providers presenting their systems to help improve security and monitoring in Cotabato City. The local government, under Mayor Matabalao’s leadership, remains committed to strengthening the city’s Command Center to combat crime, respond effectively to disasters, and maintain round-the-clock vigilance on the city’s streets.

As the city evaluates various technological solutions, the integration of AI into its security infrastructure represents a significant move toward modernization. The initiative aligns with the administration’s goal of ensuring the safety and well-being of Cotabato City’s residents through cutting-edge innovations and strategic urban management.
