Surigao del Norte – The Surigao del Norte Police Provincial Office (SDNPPO) has intensified its anti-crime efforts, successfully apprehending multiple high-value criminals in a one-week law enforcement operation from February 3 to 9, 2025.
According to the weekly accomplishment report, the SDNPPO successfully arrested four wanted individuals, including one of the province’s top four most wanted persons. This achievement underscores the police force’s dedication to upholding law and order in the region.
Anti-Illegal Drug Campaign
The SDNPPO conducted three successful anti-illegal drug operations, leading to the arrest of three individuals and the confiscation of 8.25 grams of illegal substances. The seized drugs have an estimated Standard Drug Price of Php56,100.00.
Anti-Illegal Gambling Campaign
In an effort to curb illegal gambling activities, the SDNPPO conducted one operation, resulting in the arrest of five individuals and the confiscation of Php2,320.00 worth of illegal gambling paraphernalia.
Neutralizing Wanted Persons
The police successfully apprehended four fugitives, including a Most Wanted Person charged with frustrated murder. The other three individuals arrested were classified as Other Wanted Persons.
Anti-Illegal Fishing Operations
To combat illegal fishing, SDNPPO personnel arrested two violators and confiscated nine kilograms of assorted fish, valued at Php1,800.00. The continuous enforcement of fishing regulations ensures the protection of marine resources in the province.
Violation of Graphic Health Warnings Law
In adherence to Republic Act 10643, also known as the Graphic Health Warnings Law, police arrested two individuals and confiscated thirty reams of Cannon menthol cigarettes, valued at Php12,000.00.
