CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – Authorities confiscated Php 680,000 worth of suspected shabu in a joint buy-bust operation conducted in Zone 6, Balitae St., Bugo, Cagayan de Oro City, on February 18, 2025.
The operation was led by operatives from the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 10 (RPDEU10), Regional Intelligence Unit 10 (RIU10), and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Misamis Oriental.
The suspect, identified only as alias “Eboy,” a 36-year-old laborer and resident of the area, was apprehended at around 7:00 PM. Authorities seized nine packets of suspected shabu weighing 100 grams with a standard drug price of Php 680,000. Also confiscated were a Php 1,000 bill used as buy-bust money and other drug paraphernalia.
The suspect will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Law enforcement agencies reiterated their commitment to intensifying the campaign against illegal drugs to ensure public safety and security.
