Wao, Lanao del Sur – PCOL Robert S. Daculan, Provincial Director of the Lanao del Sur Provincial Police Office (LDSPPO), commended the personnel of Wao Municipal Police Station (MPS), Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU)/Provincial Special Operations Group (PSOG) LSPPO, and the 3rd Platoon, 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) LSPPO for the successful execution of a joint law enforcement operation targeting illegal drug activities.
The buy-bust operation was conducted at approximately 2:15 PM on February 15, 2025, along the National Highway, Purok 7A, Barangay Extension, Wao, Lanao del Sur. Authorities arrested a drug suspect identified as alias “Miad,” a resident of Barangay Muslim Village, Wao, Lanao del Sur.
Seized from the suspect’s possession were five (5) heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, with an approximate weight of 1 gram and a standard drug price valued at PHP 6,800.00. Additionally, authorities confiscated the buy-bust money, one (1) Samsung cellphone, one (1) black sling bag, one (1) brown wallet containing IDs and documents, PHP 70.00 in various denominations, and one (1) Haojue motorcycle with a sidecar and key, which was used by the suspect during the operation.
Charges for violations of Sections 5 and 11 under Article II of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) are being prepared by Wao MPS against the arrested suspect. Following the operation, the suspect underwent a medical examination at Wao District Hospital before being subjected to documentation and detention at Wao MPS.
Meanwhile, the seized drug evidence and the arrested individual will be brought to the Regional Forensic Unit (RFU) in Cotabato City for laboratory examination. The authorities reaffirmed their commitment to curbing illegal drug activities and ensuring the safety of the community.
