WAO, Lanao del Sur — Authorities arrested a 23-year-old suspected street-level drug peddler and seized illegal drugs worth ₱68,000 during a joint anti-narcotics operation in Barangay Extension, Wao, on December 23, 2025.

Personnel of the 3rd Platoon, 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company (1st PMFC), Lanao del Sur Provincial Police Office, led by PLT Amercasan B. Cali, actively participated in the buy-bust operation spearheaded by the PNP Drug Enforcement Group – SOU 15 under PLTCOL Mina B. Agbisit. The operation was carried out in coordination with the Wao Municipal Police Station, PDEU BAR, PSOG BAR, RDEU BAR, RIU BAR, and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency–BARMM.

The suspect, identified by the alias “Kasanor,” a resident of Wao, was classified by police as a Street Level Individual (SLI) involved in the illegal drug trade. He was arrested at Purok 5 after allegedly selling illegal drugs to an undercover operative.

Recovered from the suspect were one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing approximately 10 grams of suspected shabu, buy-bust money composed of one genuine ₱1,000 bill and fourteen photocopied ₱1,000 bills, and a black Yamaha motorcycle believed to have been used in the illegal activity.

Police said the marking and inventory of seized evidence were conducted on-site in the presence of barangay officials and media representatives, in compliance with legal procedures. The suspect was also informed of his constitutional rights in a language he fully understood.

The confiscated drugs will be submitted to the Regional Forensic Unit–BAR for laboratory examination, while the suspect was turned over to the Wao Municipal Police Station for proper disposition and the filing of appropriate charges.

Police authorities reiterated their commitment to intensifying anti-illegal drugs operations through strong inter-agency collaboration, stressing that such efforts are crucial in maintaining peace, order, and public safety in Lanao del Sur and the broader Bangsamoro region.
