Kalingalan Caluang, Sulu – February 21, 2025 – In a concerted effort to combat illegal drug activities, personnel from the 54th Special Action Company (54SAC) of the 5th Special Action Battalion, Philippine National Police Special Action Force (PNP SAF), provided tactical support to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Sulu (PDEA-Sulu), along with other law enforcement units and the Philippine Army, in a major anti-illegal drug operation in Barangay Pitogo, Kalingalan Caluang, Sulu.

The operation led to the discovery of eight marijuana plantation sites, resulting in the seizure of approximately 11,950 fully grown marijuana plants. This successful operation underscores the unwavering commitment of law enforcement agencies in their intensified efforts to curb illegal drug activities in the region. By eliminating these illicit plantations, authorities aim to protect communities from the harmful effects of illegal drugs and maintain peace and order in Sulu. The government continues to urge the public to cooperate with law enforcement in reporting illegal activities to ensure a drug-free society.
