GENERAL SANTOS CITY – A joint intelligence operation by the Police Regional Office 12 (PRO 12) led to the arrest of four individuals and the confiscation of suspected shabu worth ₱170,000 in Barangay Fatima on February 25, 2025.

Authorities executed Search Warrant Nos. 25-33 and 25-34 for violations of Republic Act No. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) and Republic Act No. 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) against alias “Batsoy,” 42, at Purok 13-A, Block 2. However, the primary target was not present during the operation.

Instead, law enforcers apprehended four individuals found inside the residence: alias “Pikoy,” 27; alias “Mariel,” 27; alias “Elay,” 18; and alias “Atan,” 32. The suspects are either transient residents or from nearby areas, according to police reports.

Seized from the operation were ten sachets of suspected shabu weighing 25 grams, three live rounds of 12-gauge shotgun ammunition, one live round of 9mm ammunition, and seven live rounds of 5.56mm ammunition.

The operation was carried out by multiple units, including Police Station 7, the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) and City Mobile Force Company (CMFC) of General Santos City Police Office (GSCPO), the 1201st and Tactical Support Companies of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB) 12, the Regional Intelligence Division (RID) 12, and the General Santos City Maritime Police Station (MARPSTA).

The arrested individuals and the confiscated evidence were turned over to Police Station 7 for documentation and further legal proceedings.

PBGEN Arnold P. Ardiente, Regional Director of PRO 12, reaffirmed the police force’s commitment to combating illegal drugs in SOCCSKSARGEN, warning that there will be no safe haven for illegal drug activities in the region.
