Palimbang, Sultan Kudarat – In a resolute effort to combat illegal drug activities, personnel of the Palimbang Municipal Police Station and Sultan Kudarat Police Provincial Office, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, successfully conducted a buy-bust operation on the evening of February 8, 2025.
The operation, executed at approximately 8:05 PM at Kalye Apike, Barangay Poblacion, Palimbang, resulted in the arrest of a high-value individual, identified as alias “Rudi,” a 64-year-old married and jobless resident of Kapina Village, Barangay Poblacion, Palimbang, Sultan Kudarat.
Confiscated from the suspect were three heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu and a five-hundred-peso bill, which was used as buy-bust money. Proper documentation of the operation was conducted on-site in the presence of the suspect and mandatory witnesses, ensuring compliance with legal procedures.
The suspect, along with the seized pieces of evidence, was immediately brought to Palimbang Municipal Police Station for proper disposition and the filing of appropriate charges.
Police Brigadier General Arnold P. Ardiente, Regional Director of Police Regional Office 12, lauded the operatives for their success in the fight against illegal drugs.
“This successful operation shows the relentless efforts of our law enforcement agencies in eradicating the drug menace in our communities. We remain committed to ensuring a safer and more secure environment for everyone,” PBGEN Ardiente stated.
