In a determined crackdown on illegal gambling, authorities in Pantukan, Davao de Oro, apprehended six individuals engaged in unlawful “Tong-it’s” card games during a police operation conducted on January 4. The raid, which took place in Purok Maghiusa, Barangay Kingking, was led by the Pantukan Municipal Police Station.

The operation resulted in the confiscation of key gambling paraphernalia, including playing cards, gambling tables, and a total of PHP 217 in cash believed to be proceeds from the activity. The suspects, whose ages range from 41 to 59, are now in police custody at the Pantukan Police Station.

Authorities have confirmed that charges are being prepared against the individuals for violating Presidential Decree No. 1602, which strictly prohibits illegal gambling activities.
