Sugbongcogon, Misamis Oriental — The tracker team of the Sugbongcogon Municipal Police Station, under the Misamis Oriental Police Provincial Office, successfully served a warrant of arrest against a KAPA leader currently detained at the Lumbia City Jail in Barangay Lumbia, Cagayan de Oro City, on January 8, 2025.
The warrant of arrest, issued under Criminal Case No. 13114 dated November 16, 2023, pertains to charges of Syndicated Estafa, a non-bailable offense. The accused has been implicated in a large-scale investment scam that defrauded numerous individuals. Despite being already in custody, this additional warrant underscores the unwavering commitment of law enforcement to pursue justice for the victims of such schemes.
Authorities confirmed that the accused will remain under the custody of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) at the Lumbia City Jail for further legal proceedings.
PBGEN Jaysen C. De Guzman, Regional Director of Police Regional Office 10 (PRO10), praised the efforts of the Sugbongcogon tracker team for their professionalism and dedication in carrying out the operation.
“PRO10 remains steadfast in its commitment to enforce the law and ensure the administration of justice through the implementation of warrants of arrest,” De Guzman stated.
The arrest operation is part of the police’s ongoing mission to combat financial crimes and protect the public from fraudulent activities.
