Iligan City authorities successfully apprehended a suspected drug personality in a buy-bust operation conducted in Barangay Maria Cristina on January 27, 2025. The City Drug Enforcement Unit, with assistance from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office 10 – Lanao del Norte Provincial Office, spearheaded the operation.
The suspect, identified as Alias Felix, 34, and a resident of Barangay Tambacan, Iligan City, was caught in possession of six grams of shabu, estimated to be worth Php 40,800. Authorities confirmed that Felix will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
This recent success underscores the collaborative efforts of the Philippine National Police (PNP) and PDEA in their ongoing campaign against illegal drugs in the region. Law enforcement agencies continue to intensify operations to curb the proliferation of illegal substances and maintain public safety.
