The Zamboanga Sibugay Police Provincial Office (ZSBPPO) proudly reports significant accomplishments in its law enforcement operations conducted from December 16 to 22, 2024. These operations demonstrate the department’s relentless efforts in maintaining peace and order in the province.
Among the highlights of the week:
- Anti-Illegal Drugs: The police conducted 13 operations, arresting 14 individuals and confiscating illegal drugs valued at ₱203,736.84.
- Wanted Persons: Authorities apprehended 9 wanted individuals, furthering justice efforts.
- Surrendered Loose Firearms and Kontra Boga Operations: A total of 13 firearms were turned over to law enforcement.
- Anti-Illegal Gambling: Three operations led to the arrest of 8 suspects, with ₱11,599.00 in bet money seized.
- Anti-Illegal Fishing: Police conducted 5 operations, arresting 6 individuals and confiscating fishing paraphernalia valued at ₱218,500.00.
- Anti-Illegal Logging: Eight operations yielded the confiscation of lumber worth ₱37,248.00.
- Counter-Terrorism Efforts: Two supporters of the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) voluntarily surrendered.
Additionally, the ZSBPPO implemented two search warrants under RA 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act), leading to two arrests.
Provincial Director PCol Barnard Danie V. Dasugo expressed gratitude to the community for their unwavering cooperation and support, which significantly contributed to these accomplishments. He emphasized the importance of collaboration between the police and citizens in combating illegal activities and ensuring the safety of Zamboanga Sibugay.
