On the evening of December 21, 2024, at approximately 10:00 PM, the Nabunturan Municipal Police Station, in collaboration with the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU), Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU), 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company (1st PFMC), and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), conducted a successful buy-bust operation. The operation, led by the Deputy Chief of Police of Nabunturan, resulted in the arrest of two individuals for violating Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The suspects were apprehended in possession of several sachets containing suspected shabu, marked buy-bust money, assorted cash, and personal belongings believed to be linked to illegal drug activities. Following the operation, the arrested individuals and the confiscated items were transported to the Nabunturan Police Station for proper documentation and processing. Authorities are now preparing charges for filing through an inquest procedure.
In a separate but related operation, the Davao de Oro Police Provincial Office successfully carried out another anti-illegal drug operation in Purok 2, Hijo, Maco, Davao de Oro. This effort led to the apprehension of one individual identified as alias DEL, further demonstrating the law enforcement’s commitment to eradicating illegal drug activities in the province.
