Pagadian City, Philippines – Authorities seized approximately Php272,000 worth of suspected shabu and arrested a man during an anti-illegal drug operation conducted on December 13, 2024, in Zone 3, Barangay Tiguma, Pagadian City.
The suspect, identified only by his alias “Leng-Leng,” is a 37-year-old married male residing in Purok Iranon, Zone 5, Barangay Muricay, Pagadian City.
The operation, carried out by the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (RDEU) of Zamboanga del Sur in collaboration with the Pagadian City Police Station (CPS), Regional Intelligence Division 9 (RID9), and the 1st Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company (1st ZSPMFC), led to the confiscation of the following items:
- One large heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu, weighing 40 grams with an estimated street value of Php272,000.
- A Realme Android smartphone.
- A Suzuki Burgman motorcycle.
- Various non-drug-related evidence.
The suspect will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165, also known as the “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.”
Authorities in Zamboanga del Sur reaffirmed their commitment to intensify the campaign against illegal drugs to ensure the safety and well-being of the community.
