Makati City, November 15, 2024 – The much-awaited “Treasures of Region 12 Trade Expo” officially kicked off today at the Glorietta Mall in Makati City. Running from November 15 to 17, 2024, the expo showcases the best of Region 12’s local products and innovations, featuring participants from the provinces and cities within the region, including Cotabato.
In her message delivered by Dr. Orville Ballitoc, Cotabato Governor Lala Taliño-Mendoza expressed her unwavering support for the participating Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and entrepreneurs from Region 12. She also commended the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) for organizing the event, emphasizing its vital role in promoting local businesses.
The trade expo aims to highlight the unique products crafted in Region 12 while expanding their market reach, ultimately contributing to the region’s economic growth. A total of 12 MSMEs from Cotabato are participating, including:

- Ivonne’s Bag Manufacturing

- Velasco’s Handicrafts Manufacturing

- Greenlife Coconut Products Manufacturing

- F&A Textile Manufacturing
Representatives from Cotabato province were present to guide and support the MSME participants. These included PMSMED Permanent Designate Mabel Lynell Calungsod, Provincial Advisory Council member Teresita R. Gementiza, PMSMED Member Teresita Español, and officials from the Provincial Governor’s Office, Margian Warner and Russel Villorente.
DTI Regional Director Flora Gabunales and DTI Cotabato Provincial Director Ferdinand Cabiles also graced the event.
Themed “Buy Local, Be Vocal,” the expo underscores the importance of supporting local enterprises, fostering community pride, and promoting sustainable economic development in Region 12. Visitors are encouraged to explore and purchase the diverse range of products on display, contributing to the growth of the region’s MSMEs.
The expo is a testament to Region 12’s vibrant entrepreneurial spirit, with its locally made products poised to gain greater recognition in the national and international markets.
