Malaybalay City, Bukidnon – A drug den operating in Barangay Casisang was dismantled in an anti-drug operation on the evening of November 27, 2024, led by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office X Bukidnon Provincial Office.

The joint operation, conducted with the Malaybalay City Police Station and the Regional Intelligence Unit Bukidnon (PIT-PNP), resulted in the arrest of three individuals, including two government employees.
Authorities identified the suspects as Alias John, 37, a Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) employee and priority drug personality based in Valencia City; Alias EL, 39, a DENR employee assigned to Manolo Fortich; and Alias Vince, 39, a private individual from Barangay Casisang.
Approximately 10 grams of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu), valued at PHP 68,000 according to the Dangerous Drugs Board, were seized during the operation.
The suspects are now facing charges for violations of Article II of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. They are in custody pending the filing of formal charges.
This operation underscores the commitment of PDEA and its law enforcement partners to intensify the campaign against illegal drugs, reaffirming their stance that no one is above the law, regardless of professional affiliations or status.
Authorities have vowed to sustain their vigilance and collaboration to root out illegal drug activities in the region.
