Sibuco, Zamboanga del Norte – November 1, 2024 — Authorities have identified two new suspects in the ongoing investigation into the kidnapping of Elliot Eastman, an American citizen who was abducted in Sibuco earlier this month. This development comes as the Zamboanga del Norte Provincial Prosecutor accepted supplemental affidavits and crucial evidence, advancing the case significantly.
The newly identified suspects, both male residents of Sibuco Municipality, were previously referred to as “John Does” in earlier case filings. Now recognized as principal actors in the abduction, they join three other suspects previously identified and are actively being pursued by local and national law enforcement agencies.
Despite 16 days without any confirmed proof of life for Eastman, the multi-agency task force handling the case remains resolute in its commitment to locating and rescuing him. Task force members continue to follow every investigative lead, working closely with intelligence networks to track the suspects’ movements and establish any connections that could expedite Eastman’s safe recovery.
As the pursuit intensifies, authorities have called on local communities to be vigilant and to report any information that could aid the investigation. Law enforcement officials emphasize the importance of public cooperation, particularly as the case progresses and more details about the suspects’ whereabouts and potential networks are uncovered.
