Tragic Accident Claims Life of Policeman in South Cotabato

Polomolok, South Cotabato — A tragic accident occurred on October 16, 2024, at approximately 2:00 PM when a car driven by a policeman collided with a dump truck on the national highway in Purok 2, Barangay Glamang.

The victim has been identified as Patrolman Fahad Asmi Masula, a legal-age resident of Brgy Cacub in Koronadal City, and a member of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 12. According to initial investigations by the Polomolok Municipal Police Station, Patrolman Masula was en route to his duty station after leaving Koronadal City. However, upon reaching the area, his vehicle collided with an oncoming dump truck loaded with gravel, driven by 40-year-old Ronnie Torin from Upper Klinan, Polomolok.

The impact of the collision caused severe damage to Patrolman Masula’s vehicle and resulted in critical injuries. He was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival. The incident has left his family devastated, particularly as he was a single parent.

Heartbreakingly, Patrolman Masula was set to celebrate his 27th birthday the following day. The leadership of RMFB 12 and the entire Police Regional Office 12 has extended their condolences to the bereaved family of Patrolman Fahad Asmi Masula during this difficult time.
