A Barangay Chairman was arrested by the Lambayong PNP after a warrant of arrest was served this morning at Purok Rang-ay, Barangay Poblacion, Lambayong, Sultan Kudarat. Lambayong town police chief Capt. Jayson Cepeda identified the arrested individual as Norodin Sindatukan Utto Jr., 35, the incumbent chairman of Barangay Panadtaban, Rajah Buayan, Maguindanao Del Sur.
According to reports, Utto was apprehended following a manhunt operation conducted by the Lambayong PNP due to his violation of RA 10591, the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition. The arrest warrant, issued on October 3, carried a bail amount of 10,000 pesos.
The Barangay Chairman is now detained at the Lambayong PNP detention facility, awaiting further legal proceedings. This arrest highlights the ongoing efforts of local law enforcement to uphold the rule of law and ensure public safety.
