Matalam, Cotabato — Two men were found dead following a hit-and-run incident in Barangay Kibudoc, Matalam, Cotabato on Thursday morning, July 24, 2025.
The victims, identified only by their aliases “Lindo” and “Michael,” were discovered lifeless at the roadside around 6:00 a.m., according to Colonel Gilberto Tuzon, Director of the Cotabato Police Provincial Office (CPPO). Beside the bodies was a heavily damaged motorcycle, believed to have been used by the victims before the crash.
Initial reports suggested the two men were shot dead, but further investigation by barangay officials confirmed that they were instead victims of a hit-and-run incident.
Authorities from the Matalam Municipal Police Station are now conducting a thorough investigation to identify the vehicle and driver involved in the fatal collision.
The police are calling on witnesses or anyone with information to come forward and assist in resolving the case.
