Bongao, Tawi-Tawi, Philippines – October 18, 2024 – The Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA) has officially launched a comprehensive sustainable tourism development plan for Bongao, Tawi-Tawi, aimed at revitalizing the local economy while safeguarding its unique natural and cultural heritage.
The plan was presented to Bongao Mayor Jimuel Que by MinDA Director Joey Recimilla during a ceremonial handover, marking a significant milestone in the town’s growth strategy. The development blueprint focuses on enhancing tourism infrastructure, promoting local attractions, and ensuring that tourism practices remain responsible and sustainable.
Bongao is home to several key attractions that showcase the beauty of Tawi-Tawi. Among these are:
