DAVAO CITY – Police confiscated suspected shabu valued at P361,400 during a buy-bust operation along McArthur Highway Road, Barangay Sirawan, Toril, Davao City, on the evening of October 16, 2024.
The operation, conducted around 6:00 PM, led to the arrest of Jhon, a 38-year-old resident of Batulosa, Bangkas Heights, Toril, who has been identified as a high-value individual (HVI) in the illegal drug trade.
Authorities seized a rectangular heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing what is believed to be shabu, along with 11 other similar sachets. The confiscated items are suspected to contain illegal drugs. In addition to the illegal substances, the police also recovered the marked money used in the buy-bust operation.
Jhon is now in police custody and faces charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act. The operation marks another success in the local authorities’ ongoing campaign against illegal drugs in the region.
