UBJP to Announce Complete Slate for Provincial, Municipal, Congressional, and Parliamentary Elections on September 28

The United Bangsamoro Justice Party (UBJP) is expected to announce its official candidates for the upcoming 2025 national and local elections. This includes nominations for provincial, municipal, congressional, and parliamentary positions, as confirmed by UBJP spokesperson, Engr. Mojahirin Ali, during a press conference held on Sunday.

The announcement will be made on September 28 at the Party Convention, where the candidates for various positions, including the 40 nominees for UBJP’s party representatives, district representatives, and sectoral representatives, will be unveiled. The party’s leadership, led by the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF), is finalizing the lineup for its electoral push.

UBJP plans to field candidates in key areas, including Cotabato City, Maguindanao Del Sur, Maguindanao Del Norte, Lanao Del Sur, Basilan, Tawi-Tawi, eight municipalities in the Special Geographic Areas, and even the province of Sulu, despite its non-inclusion in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).

Engr. Ali expressed confidence in the party’s strong alliances, particularly in Tawi-Tawi and Basilan, where UBJP believes it has a solid support base.

As UBJP and MILF intensify their preparations for the 2025 elections, they aim to strengthen their role in the democratic process and ensure greater representation for the Bangsamoro people in the political landscape of the Philippines.
