General Santos City – Ulysses Calledo, a 25-year-old sikad driver, was found lifeless on the side of the road in Purok Lavista, Barangay Tambler, General Santos City, at around 6:30 PM. Calledo, a resident of Purok 17, FVR Village, Barangay Fatima, sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the head.
According to his father, Oliver Calledo, Ulysses left their home around 9 PM last Saturday after receiving a call from a friend known as Mar-Mar, who asked him to accompany him to collect a debt. However, Ulysses never returned home, and his family later discovered that he had been found dead in the mentioned location.
Oliver Calledo suspects that Mar-Mar may be involved in his son’s death, as Ulysses’ sikad was found at the scene. He believes that Mar-Mar might have enemies and that his son was caught in the crossfire, as Ulysses had no known conflicts in their area.
Mar-Mar claimed that they were chased by men who eventually shot Ulysses, while he managed to escape. Oliver Calledo hopes that the authorities will quickly apprehend the suspect and bring justice for his son’s untimely death.
