Operatives Arrest Four in Koronadal City Drug Den

Koronadal City, South Cotabato – A drug den was dismantled and four individuals were arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by joint operatives on September 6, 2024, at 6:55 PM in Purok Tagumpay, Barangay GPS, Koronadal City.

The operation was a collaborative effort involving the PDEA South Cotabato Provincial Office, PDEA Regional Special Enforcement Team, PNP 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company, South Cotabato Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, and Koronadal City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit.

PDEA ROXII Director Aileen T. Lovitos identified the suspects as Ritchie Dapulang y Lacamento, 43, a Regional Target-listed personality and the owner of the den; Anton Tugonon y Baynosa alias Tisoy, 26; Wilhym Belo y Mandalones alias Tata, 29; and Shiemela Gonzales y Quibete, 45, all residents of Koronadal City.

During the operation, authorities confiscated nine sachets of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, commonly known as shabu, weighing approximately 16 grams with an estimated value of Php 108,800.00. Additionally, three sachets of suspected marijuana leaves weighing around six grams worth Php 720.00, along with assorted drug paraphernalia, were seized.

The suspects are currently detained at the PDEA ROXII Custodial Facility and will face charges for violating Article II of RA 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

This successful operation underscores the ongoing efforts of law enforcement agencies to combat illegal drug activities in the region and ensure the safety and well-being of the community.
